Mystic Maui

This is my latest painting. I just finished it last week. It is mixed media incorporating acrylic paint, water color, ink, and enamel paint.

I was remembering a trip to Hawaii, the Big Island, where we walked through a fern forest that was just so amazing! The fern trees were way over our heads and the light had to fight its way through the canopy. I remember Hawaii in my dreams and I miss it very much. So this painting is from the Aloha in my heart and painted with much yearning to see my beloved Hawaii again soon. If you have ever been there you know what I yearn for. The beauty, and the Love.

So the name of this is Mystic Maui, my second favorite of the lovely Hawaiian Islands. Aloha!

This is a detail of the top right of the painting, a moon stamped with gold ink.

This is the finished painting.

I hope you all have a chance to visit Hawaii, the most captivating of all our wonderful States here in the Good Old USA.

Until Next time, new paintings await…. Love to my readers, The Foodpusher.
